ALL ABOUT W.O.M.B.A.T.

it would be wrong to say that "Mr Phweep!" was designed by my dad, for he was not so much designed as discovered. he was always there on the side of my fridge, as you see him right now. daddy-o saw him and added only the single dot for an eye (quite obviously his passing of wind was another addition as well as our club name above his head). his shape, form, colourings, right down to his nose, hands across his belly and his mysterious outline are all the remnants of a sticker advertisement placed upon our fridge by somebody who had lived in the apartment before us and ripped off by my wife. his entire being, excluding his eye, was laying on the side of our fridge waiting for my dad to see him. i myself had often thought (not ever having noticed his form) of taking a scouring pad to him, but always in thought, fallen just short of action.

It is true to say that my previous name for my envisioned club was, in fact, W.O.M. quite simply 'weiguks on motorcycles'. after the discovery of Mr Phweep! (although he looks more like a chum dog than a wombat) dad and i decided over a bottle of dae-na-mul-soju (bamboo filtered sweet potato wine) that the club should henceforth be called W.O.M.B.A.T. with the last 3 letters of the acronym to be up to the discretion of the member.
