Busted Arse Touring

Hej all and sundry. it's been a while since the last blog but that's 'cause i have been in hospital for the last 3 weeks with a compound fracture to my left tibia and fibula. i did a stupid thing, hit a truck from behind. stupid is the only real way to describe it. i took my eyes off of the road in front of me and accelerated into the back of a braking (turning) truck. Busted my leg, finger and bank balance. good news is that the magna is as good as ever. 1 busted bit of plastic. not bad at all, it only has 2 bits of plastic on the whole bike. tough bike that magna, not even bent bars or forks or anything. 1 scratch on the tank, small enough that it took me 2 minutes to notice it. that's the extent of it. i guess this will be the last blog for a couple of months. at least until the day after i get this cast off. right now i am passing valuable biking time watching vids and being waited on hand and foot by my darling wife. kudos to her. she had to feed me, clothe me and wipe my arse for the first two weeks, and she has taken it all in stride. she has even organised to have the bike fixed and i think she misses riding as much as i do. top woman that one. cheers for everything sweetie. i appreciate it.
